I use a Glimakra countermarch loom with an overhead beater. I am wondering if there is any good technique for resleying on the loom.
What method do you use for warping your drawlooms? I use a method I learned in Denmark, but it's very cumbersome, and I usually end up dealing with quite a few problems during the process.
What do you get with twelve shafts? You get more blocks, you can produce twills that are even more complex, and more layers (or two layers of more structures).
My heddles are distributed evenly on all eight shafts, but I'm not going to be using very many heddles on shafts 5 and 8. Should I remove them?
I'm wondering how the tie-ups in Handwoven are determined. I've heard about "walking" tie-ups; what are those?
What is the reason for keeping the cross when threading? Aren't the ends in order after they have been sleyed through the reed.
What is the best way to reduce a draft when the draft calls for a loom that is bigger than the one you have at home?
The Dornick Towels' sett seems a bit loose to Madelyn. She suggests tightening it up.
